The BRC standard sets out the rules and requirements for project owners who, in addition to reducing GHG, commit to ensuring that project activities cause no net damage or harm to the environment and society. The project holders shall identify and address all potential negative environmental and socio-economic impacts of project activities and engage with stakeholders during project development and implementation.

BCR has developed the «No Net Harm» tool which, in line with BCR's Principles and Code of Ethics, ensures that project owners provide evidence of no net harm or development and monitoring action plans to reduce or mitigate the impact of identified impacts.
